How To Make Red Onion & Chilli Bhajis with Mint & Garlic Raita

Ingredients
- 2 large red onions, thinly sliced
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped
- 1 cup gram flour (chickpea flour)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- For the Mint & Garlic Raita:
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix together the sliced onions, chopped chillies, gram flour, cumin, coriander, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.

Gradually add water to make a thick batter. Mix well to ensure all the onions are coated.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

Remove the bhajis from the oil and drain on a paper towel.

For the raita, combine the yogurt, chopped mint, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.

Serve the bhajis hot with the mint and garlic raita.
