How To Make Mushroom Veggie Burger

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 1 cup of cooked quinoa
  • 1/2 cup of bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of chopped onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp of smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and any desired toppings for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mushrooms, quinoa, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, onions, garlic, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. Form the mixture into 4 patties, pressing firmly to hold their shape.

  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. Toast the burger buns lightly.

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, and top with lettuce, tomato, and any desired toppings.

  6. Serve the mushroom veggie burgers immediately.
