How To Make Funfetti Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingertips to work the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the milk and vanilla extract. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.

  5. Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles, being careful not to overmix.

  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together.

  7. Roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thick and use a biscuit cutter to cut out rounds.

  8. Place the biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

  9. Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving.
