How To Make Cheese & Tomato Pasta Bakes

Ingredients
- 8 ounces of penne pasta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant and softened.

Add the diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the tomato sauce.

Pour half of the pasta mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Repeat with the remaining pasta and cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
