- 4 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions

In a large saucepan, combine sliced apples, water, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
