Cooking: 10 minutes
Soak Time: 20 minutes
Total: 40 minutes

  • 12dried figs,(Turkish or mission)
  • 6stripsbacon,(regular center-cut, not thick cut)
  • honey,for serving
  • nonstick spray,for air fryer

  1. Add the dried figs to a bowl filled with steaming hot water. Let them sit for 20 minutes to reconstitute.

  2. Drain the figs and cut off the stems. Cut a small slit in each fig and spoon in a little blue cheese or goat cheese, or half an almond, if desired.

  3. Cut the strips of bacon in half and trim them down to about ½ to ¾ inches wide. Wrap one bacon strip around each fig. Secure with a toothpick.

  4. Spray the basket of an air fryer with nonstick spray. Add bacon-wrapped figs in a single layer so they aren’t touching.

  5. Air fry the figs at 350 degrees F for 8 to 9 minutes, flipping once halfway through.

  6. Once the figs have cooled slightly, serve them drizzled with honey.
