How To Make Berry Slump
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups mixed berries (such as blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a 9-inch square baking dish, combine the mixed berries, 1/2 cup sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the berries evenly.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and melted butter, and stir until just combined.
-
Drop spoonfuls of the batter on top of the berries, covering them as much as possible.
-
Bake for 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berries are bubbly.
-
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
