Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a separate pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the cabbage and onion, and cook until softened, about 10 minutes.

  3. Add the cooked potatoes to the pot with the cabbage and onion. Mash everything together, adding the remaining butter and milk.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
