  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped green onions, shredded cheese


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Scrub the sweet potatoes clean and pat them dry.

  3. Place the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and pierce each one several times with a fork.

  4. Rub the sweet potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle them with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  5. Bake the sweet potatoes for 45 minutes or until they are tender and caramelized.

  6. Remove the sweet potatoes from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

  7. Slice the sweet potatoes lengthwise and serve with optional toppings such as sour cream, chopped green onions, and shredded cheese.
