How To Make Tex-Mex Sloppy Joes

Have a perfectly spiced dish with this Tex-Mex sloppy joes. They come with browned beef and peppers in spiced tomato sauce, finished with cheddar.

  • 1cuptomato sauce
  • 1cupsalsa
  • 3tbsptaco seasoning
  • ¼cupketchup
  • 1cupcheddar cheese,shredded
  • 6brioche buns,toasted

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, add the beef and onions, cooking well for 5 to 6 minutes, breaking it apart but leaving some chunks, then remove from the pan.

  2. Add in the canola oil, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, corn, and black beans and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring often until the bell peppers are softened.

  3. Add in the cumin, beef broth, tomato sauce, salsa, taco seasoning, and ketchup. Cook for about 5 to 6 minutes until the sauce starts to evaporate and the mixture becomes “sloppy.”
