Start the day right with this copycat Denny's grand slamwich recipe that's packed with smoked bacon and sausage, for a heavenly bite.

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage, bulk, or bulk Italian sausage
  • 8 slices cut bacon, thick
  • 4 English muffins
  • 1 large avocado, mixed with a fork
  • 4 eggs , cooked sunny side up
  • 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 large tomato, sliced


  1. Preheat smoker to 225 degrees F

  2. Form4 patties at ¼ pound each. Place the patties and bacon on the smoker.

  3. Smoke the sausage for about 1 hour until the internal temperature is 160 degrees F. The bacon should be cooked until crispy.

  4. While resting the patties place 1 slice of cheese on top and prepare the sandwiches.

  5. Place the split English Muffins on a sheet tray under a broiler on High for about 2 minutes to toast.

  6. Prepare 4r eggs over easy.

  7. Construct sandwich with a layer of smashed avocado, sausage patty with cheese, egg, bacon, and tomato.

  8. Serve and enjoy.

Recipe Notes

Using a broiler to toast the muffins is a great hack for a large group and not having to toast the muffins every time.
