Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of crusty bread
  • 8 slices of deli meat (turkey, ham, or roast beef)
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or provolone)
  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup of mustard
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Handful of lettuce leaves

Instructions

  1. Slice the loaf of bread in half horizontally and hollow out some of the bread from each side.

  2. Spread the mayonnaise on one side of the bread and mustard on the other side.

  3. Layer the deli meat, cheese, tomato, red onion, and lettuce on one side of the bread.

  4. Place the other half of the bread on top and press down firmly.

  5. Wrap the sandwich tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  6. Before serving, unwrap the sandwich, slice into individual servings, and enjoy!
