- 8 slices of rye bread
- 1 pound of sliced corned beef
- 8 slices of Swiss cheese
- 1 cup of sauerkraut
- 1/2 cup of Thousand Island dressing
- Butter, for grilling
Instructions

Preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat.

Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.

On the unbuttered side of 4 slices of bread, evenly distribute the corned beef.

Top the corned beef with Swiss cheese slices and sauerkraut.

On the remaining 4 slices of bread, spread Thousand Island dressing.

Carefully sandwich the bread slices together, buttered side out.

Place the sandwiches on the preheated griddle or skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
