  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of ham
  • 4 slices of turkey
  • 4 slices of cheese (such as Swiss or Gruyère)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Butter, for cooking
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Raspberry jam, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place a slice of ham, turkey, and cheese on 4 slices of bread. Top with the remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.

  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.

  3. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides.

  4. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt a tablespoon of butter.

  5. Cook the sandwiches for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese has melted.

  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

  7. Serve with raspberry jam on the side.
