  • 8 slices of bread
  • 8 slices of deli meat (turkey, ham, or chicken)
  • 8 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or mozzarella)
  • 4 tablespoons of butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat.

  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.

  3. Place 4 slices of bread, buttered side down, onto the skillet.

  4. Add a slice of cheese, a slice of deli meat, and another slice of cheese to each slice of bread.

  5. Top each sandwich with a remaining slice of bread, buttered side up.

  6. Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  7. Remove from heat and allow the sandwiches to cool slightly before serving.
