This recipe is a great way to feed a crowd or to feed your family on those nights when everyone is in and out of the house, eating dinner at different times. It is also a nice variation of the pulled pork recipe.

These mouth-watering Shredded Beef Sandwiches is slow-cooked to perfection by allowing the flavors to mesh together and give caramelized beef shreds. Taste the sweet notes of ketchup, onion, and brown sugar with the tanginess of the mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle in some Tabasco sauce, paprika, and chili powder to get that nice, spicy kick and savor a hearty sandwich!

  • 3 lb pot roast
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion, (large) chopped
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Tabasco sauce, (3 drops)
  • ¼ tsp paprika


  1. Place the pot roast and beef broth in the crockpot.

  2. Drizzle the Worcestershire sauce.

  3. Cook on low for 8 hours until the meat falls apart.

  4. Once cooked, remove the meat and leave the juice behind.

  5. Shred the meat using two forks.

  6. Drain the broth, leaving 1 ½ cups in the crockpot.

  7. Return the beef to the crockpot.

  8. In a bowl, mix the onion, garlic, salt, ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, dry mustard, chili powder, tabasco sauce, and paprika. Mix well.

  9. Pour the mixture over the beef.

  10. Cook on high for another hour.

  11. Serve the shredded beef on top of you desired bread slices and enjoy this delicious Shredded Beef Sandwiches!
