How To Make Easy Lobster Rolls

These zesty spicy lobster rolls make a unique seafood dish to amp up your sandwich game. Top it off with tomatoes, cheddar, and dill for more flavors.

  • 6hot dog buns,split
  • 1tbspbutter,soft
  • 2cupsromaine lettuce,shredded
  • 2tbspmayonnaise
  • 1tsplime juice
  • 1clovegarlic,minced
  • ½tspfresh basil,chopped
  • 1dashhot sauce,such as Tabasco®
  • salt and ground black pepper,to taste
  • ½cupred onion,diced
  • ¼cupred bell pepper,diced
  • ¼cupcelery,diced
  • 2lbslobster meat,cooked and cubed
  • 6tomato,thin slices
  • ½cupcheddar cheese,shredded
  • ¼tspfresh dill,chopped


  1. Spread butter lightly over the insides of the buns. Transfer to a toaster oven and toast for about 5 minutes until light golden browns.

  2. Line toasted buns with romaine lettuce.

  3. Stir mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, basil, hot sauce, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Add red onion, red bell pepper, and celery. Fold in lobster gently.

  4. Stuff lobster filling into buns. Top with tomato slices and a light sprinkle of cheddar cheese and dill before serving.
