How To Make Easy French Dip Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 2 pounds of beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 4 cups of beef broth
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 French rolls
- 8 slices of provolone cheese
Instructions

In a slow cooker, add the beef chuck roast, sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.

Cook on low for 6 hours or until the beef is tender and easy to shred.

Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.

Strain the cooking liquid from the slow cooker and set aside.

Preheat the broiler in your oven.

Open the French rolls and place the shredded beef on one side of each roll.

Top the beef with two slices of provolone cheese.

Place the open-faced sandwiches under the broiler for a few minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

While the sandwiches are broiling, heat the strained cooking liquid in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, this will be your au jus.

Remove the sandwiches from the oven and close them up.
