How To Make Vegan BBQ Beans

Ingredients
- 1tbspvegan margarine,such as Earth Balance
- 2cupspinto beans,canned, rinsed, drained
- 1½tbsponion,chopped
- ¼cupsweet pickle relish
- 2tbspdill pickle juice
- 2tbspketchup
- 1tbspmolasses
- 1tbsptomato paste
- 1tbspbrown sugar
- ¼tsphot sauce,such as Tabasco
- 1dashliquid smoke flavoring
- ¼tspgarlic powder
- ¼tspsalt-free seasoning blend
- ¼tspdry mustard
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Melt the vegan margarine in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion.

Cook and stir for about 5 minutes until translucent. Mix together with the beans in a casserole dish.

Stir the relish, pickle juice, ketchup, molasses, tomato paste, brown sugar, hot sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, salt seasoning, and mustard together in a bowl.

Add to the bean mixture and mix to coat.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour until the sauce is thick and the casserole is heated through.
