How To Make Quick and Easy Grilled Shrimp Skewers

Prepare these quick and easy shrimp skewers and make any meal extra special. It’s tender with an umami-rich smoky flavor, topped with sriracha-based sauce.

Ingredients

For the Sauce:

  • tbsplight mayonnaise
  • 2tbspscallions,chopped fine
  • tbspThai sweet chili sauce
  • ½tspsriracha,or to taste

For the Shrimp:

  • 12.8ozlarge raw shrimp,shelled and deveined
  • fresh cracked pepper
  • oil spray

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayo, scallions, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha sauce in a small bowl. Set aside.

  2. Season shrimp lightly pepper.

  3. Place 5 shrimp on 8 skewers.

  4. Heat a clean, lightly oiled grill to medium heat, when the grill is hot add the shrimp, careful not to burn the skewers.

  5. Grill on both sides for about 6 to 8 minutes total cooking time or until the shrimp is opaque and cooked through.

  6. Set shrimp aside on a platter and quickly brush sauce onto the shrimp; serve immediately.

Recipe Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 20 minutes or use metal ones to avoid this step.
