How To Make Grilled Squash
Brimming with smoky hints, this grilled squash offers an herbed side dish. It's seasoned with fragrant herbs and savory seasonings.
Ingredients
- 3 medium yellow summer squash, or a mix of squash and small zucchini
- 1½ tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- red pepper flakes, (2 pinches) optional
Instructions

Preheat a grill to medium-high heat or 375 to 450 degrees F.

Slice the squash on the bias, about ½-inch thick. Place it in a bowl and mix it with olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and red pepper flakes.

Place the squash directly on the grill grates and grill for about 2 to 3 minutes per side, until charred and tender. Taste and add a few pinches of additional salt if necessary.
