Try these cheesy and smoky grilled potato planks that are covered in garlic salt and parmesan cheese for an easy and tasty 15-minute side dish.

  • 6russet potatoes,scrubbed and cut into ½-inch planks
  • ½cupparmesan,grated
  • 1tspgarlic salt
  • ½tsppepper
  • 3tbspextra virgin olive oil
  • 1tbspItalian parsley,finely chopped, for garnish


  1. Preheat and prepare the grill for direct cooking over medium heat.

  2. In a small bowl, combine parmesan, garlic salt, and pepper.

  3. Brush olive oil on each side of the potatoes. Dip in the parmesan garlic mixture on each side.

  4. Grill each side for 5 to 6 minutes or until tender when a fork is pierced. If some look like they are cooking faster, move them to a cooler part on the grill.

  5. Serve warm and enjoy.
