How To Make Grilled Chicken Breasts with Grapefruit Glaze

A touch of honeyed grapefruit sauce gives these grilled chicken breasts a sweet glazed exterior and bright flavors for a fingerlicking dinner!

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 30 minutes



  • 2clovesgarlic
  • tspgrapefruit zest,(from about ½ grapefruit)
  • ½cupgrapefruit juice,(from 1 grapefruit)
  • 1tbspcooking oil
  • 2tbsphoney
  • ½tspsalt
  • ¼tspfresh ground black pepper
  • lbschicken breasts,bone in


  1. Light the grill.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the garlic, grapefruit zest, grapefruit juice, oil, honey, salt, and pepper.

  3. Grill the chicken breasts over moderately high heat for 8 minutes, brushing frequently with the glaze.

  4. Turn and cook for 10 to 12 minutes longer, brushing with more glaze until the chicken is just done. Remove.

  5. In a small stainless-steel saucepan, bring the remaining glaze to a boil.

  6. Boil for about 1 minute, remove from the heat and pour over the grilled chicken.
