How To Make Strawberry Squares
These strawberry squares are easy, bite-sized treats made with soft vanilla cake, and topped with a tart strawberry filling.

Ingredients
- ½cupunsalted butter,softened
- 1½cupsgranulated sugar
- 4large eggs,at room temperature
- 1tsppure vanilla extract
- 2cupsall-purpose flour
- ½cupstrawberry pie filling,canned
- confectioner’s sugar,for dusting
- baking spray
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the baking pan in a 13×9-inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, on the medium speed of an electric mixer, cream the butter with the granulated sugar for about 2 minutes until smooth.

Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla and flour, then mix thoroughly.

Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan. With a small, sharp knife, score the dough into 24 2-inch squares. Place 1 teaspoon of pie filling in the center of each scored square.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a cake tester inserted in the center of the pan comes out clean.

Cool to room temperature, then sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar before cutting.
