  • 4 cups of peeled and sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup of cold unsalted butter, diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Mix well.

  3. Transfer the apple mixture to a greased baking dish.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cold diced butter. Mix with your hands or a pastry cutter until crumbly.

  5. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples in the baking dish.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
