How To Make Poached Pears with Yogurt
Grab a bite of these decadent poached pears simmered in fruity juices! It’s a tasty and naturally healthy dessert that’s sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
- ¾cupapple juice
- ½cuppomegranate juice
- 1long orange rind strip,2-inch
- 1cinnamon stick
- 2pears,peeled, halved, and cored
- 5.3ozyogurt,used Silk Vanilla DairyFree Yogurt Alternative
Instructions

In a small pan over medium-high heat, bring the apple juice, pomegranate juice, orange rind and cinnamon stick to a boil.

Place pears face down in the pan.

Lower the heat and simmer gently for 10 to 20 minutes until a knife inserted into the pears meets no resistance, spooning the sauce over the pears as they cook.

Once the pears are tender, remove from heat and let cool.

Over medium-low heat, reduce the remaining poaching liquid to a glaze for 7 to 8 minutes.

Pour the glaze over the pears. Refrigerate to chill.

Place ½ pear on each dish, top with a dollop of yogurt over each, and enjoy!
