- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 apple, peeled and diced
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.

Fold in the grated cheese and diced apple.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before serving.
