How To Make Drunken Rum Apples (Famous Dave’s® Copycat)

These luscious and boozy rum apples tastes just like how Famous Dave’s makes theirs! Enjoy bites of tender apples that are spiced and sautéed in one plate.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Cool Time: 5 minutes
Total: 35 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 7granny smith apples,cored and sliced
  • 2cupswhite sugar
  • 2tbspground cinnamon
  • 1tbspground nutmeg
  • ¼cupspiced rum

Instructions

  1. Stir the apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a large saucepan. Pour the rum into apple mixture and stir until apples are evenly coated and a thick sauce forms.

  2. Bring the apple mixture to a boil over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, for about 20 minutes, until apples are soft.

  3. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes.

  4. Serve and enjoy!
