How To Make Copycat Cracker Barrel Fried Apples

  • 2 cup apple juice
  • 4 Golden Delicious apples, cut into wedges
  • ½ cup apple juice
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. apple pie spice
  • 4 tbsp. sugar


  1. Combine 2 cups of apple juice and apple wedges in a medium skillet.

  2. Simmer gently and turn apples often with spatula until tender.
  3. Remove with a spoon to oven dish.
  4. In blender puree 1/2 cup apple juice, cornstarch, spice and sugar until smooth.
  5. Cook mixture in a skillet, stirring constantly until it bubbles and becomes thickened and smooth.

  6. Turn heat off.
  7. Pour over apples.
