Cherry Clafoutis Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cup whole milk
  • cup sugar
  • 3 eggs, cage-free
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup flour
  • 3 cups cherries, pitted
  • ¼ tsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix milk, ⅓ cup of sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt and flour in a blender.

  3. Blend until smooth and ingredients are well blended.
  4. Coat an 8-cup baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Pour ¼-inch layer of batter in prepared dish.
  6. Reserve remaining batter.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until set. Remove from oven.
  8. Sprinkle cherries over baked batter and top with remaining sugar.
  9. Pour reserved batter over cherries.
  10. Bake for 60 minutes or until fluffy and well browned.
  11. Insert a knife at the center of clafouti and see if it comes out clean to test readiness.
  12. Top with powdered sugar and serve.
