  • 4 cups of sliced apples
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of flour
  • 1/4 cup of cold butter, diced
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.

  3. Transfer the apple mixture into a greased baking dish.

  4. In a separate bowl, cut the cold butter into the flour using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  5. Sprinkle the butter mixture evenly over the apple mixture.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
