The goodness of the famous cookie is now in this toll house pie recipe. This dessert is rich, decadent, and loaded with chocolate in each bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour, unbleached, (bleached flour toughens baked goods)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, (2 sticks), melted and cooled slightly
  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 pie shell, unbaked

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs for 3 to 5 minutes until foamy. Beat in flour, sugar and brown sugar until well-blended.

  3. Blend in the cooled, melted butter. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Pour into pie shell.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.

  5. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
