Cooking: 4 hours
Total: 4 hours 15 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb venison, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, Sriracha sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.

  2. Add the venison slices to the marinade, making sure each slice is coated. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  3. Preheat your oven to 175°F (80°C).

  4. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Arrange the marinated venison slices on the wire rack, ensuring they are not touching each other.

  5. Bake for 4 hours, or until the jerky is dry and chewy. Flip the slices halfway through to ensure even drying.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
