Ingredients

  • 2 cups marionberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 prepared pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large bowl, mix together the marionberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, lemon zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  3. Place the prepared pie crust in a pie dish.

  4. Pour the marionberry mixture into the pie crust.

  5. Place another pie crust on top, sealing the edges. You can also create a lattice top if desired.

  6. Brush the top of the pie crust with milk or beaten egg for a golden crust.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

  8. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
