Ingredients

  • 2 cups plum slices
  • 1/2 cup marzipan, grated
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the plum slices, grated marzipan, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Mix well until the plum slices are evenly coated.

  3. Roll out the pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Trim and crimp the edges as desired.

  4. Pour the plum filling into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

  5. Brush the edges of the pie crust with the beaten egg.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 20 minutes before serving.

  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
