This delicious and easy-to-make chocolate banana cream pie is a heavenly treat layered with bananas, chocolate, and a creamy vanilla pudding with coconut.

  • 1dish pie crust,(9-inch deep), baked, cooled
  • 2semisweet chocolate squares
  • 1tbspmilk
  • 1tbspbutter
  • 2bananas,sliced
  • cupsmilk,cold
  • 3.5ozinstant vanilla pudding mix,(1 package)
  • cupscoconut,shredded
  • cupsfrozen whipped topping,thawed
  • 2tbspflaked coconut,toasted


  1. Combine the chocolate, 1 tablespoon of milk, and butter or margarine in a medium, microwave safe bowl.

  2. Microwave on high for 1 to 1½ minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.

  3. Spread the chocolate evenly on the pie crust, then arrange the banana slices over the chocolate.

  4. Pour 1½ cups of cold milk into a large bowl. Add the pudding mix, then beat with a wire whisk for 2 minutes.

  5. Stir in 1½ cups of coconut, and spoon over the banana slices in the crust.

  6. Spread the whipped topping over the pie, then sprinkle with toasted coconut.

  7. Refrigerate for 4 hours, or until set.

  8. Serve chilled, and enjoy!
