How To Make Apple Pie Bites

These apple pie bites are miniature versions of the classic apple pie for those who want a quick and easy dessert. It may be small but it is equally savory.

Ingredients

For Cinnamon Sugar Shells:

  • 1packageFlatout Artisan Thin Pizza Crust,6 peices
  • ½cupbutter
  • â…”cupsugar
  • 1½tbspcinnamon

For Apple Pie Filling:

  • 3mediumgranny smith apples
  • 2tbspwater
  • 2tbspbutter
  • 1tspcinnamon
  • 4tbspsugar
  • 1tbspcornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

  2. Combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.

  3. Cut out three 3¼-inch circles from each Flatout Thin Crust Pizza Crust. Generously brush both sides with butter and dip each side in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  4. Press into a standard-sized muffin tin and bake 12 to14 minutes or just until set.

  5. Peel, core and chop apples into bite sized pieces.

  6. Combine butter, cinnamon, apples, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water.

  7. Cover and cook stirring occasionally for 5 to 7 minutes or until softened.

  8. In a small dish combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water. Add to pan while stirring and continue to cook until apples are soft and filling is thickened. Let it bubble for 1 minute. Cool.

  9. Just before serving spoon apple mixture into cinnamon sugar shells. Top whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
