Ingredients

  • 4 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine paprika, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to make the dry rub.

  2. Rub the dry rub generously all over the beef brisket.

  3. Place the brisket in a slow cooker.

  4. In a separate bowl, mix together beef broth, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce.

  5. Pour the mixture over the brisket in the slow cooker.

  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or until the brisket is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

  7. Once cooked, transfer the brisket to a cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes.

  8. Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with the juices from the slow cooker.
