How To Make Marie’s Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast
Hot stews and pot roasts are just some of the deletcable meals you get out of a slow cooker. It takes a bit of patience but it’s worth every meat-melting bite. You’ll enjoy the cooking as well as the eating with these slow cooker recipes.

Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs beef chuck roast
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp dried rosemary
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Season the beef chuck roast generously with salt and pepper.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the roast on all sides until browned. Transfer the roast to the slow cooker.

Add the beef broth, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, and thyme to the slow cooker. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender.

Once cooked, remove the roast from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
