This corned beef and cabbage recipe soothes your soul with a comforting bowl of beef, potatoes, and carrots that are slow cooked for a tender dish.

Ingredients

  • 2lbscorned beef,cut into bit sized pieces
  • 4large potatoes,cut into pieces
  • 2stalks celery,chopped
  • 1white onion,chopped
  • 16ozbaby carrots,(1 bag)
  • ½cabbage head,cut into small wedges
  • 3cupsbeef broth
  • 1tbspworcestershire sauce
  • 2tbspMcCormick® pickling spice
  • 1tspMcCormick® garlic powder
  • ½tspMcCormick® paprika
  • 1tspsalt,plus more to taste
  • 1tsppepper,plus more to taste
  • 1tbspcornstarch,optional
  • parsley,chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add corned beef, potatoes, celery, onion, and cabbage to your slow cooker.

  2. In a medium sized mixing bowl combine beef broth, worchestershire sauce, pickling spice, garlic powder, paprika and salt and pepper. Pour over the meat and veggies.

  3. Cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours or High for 5 to 6 until the vegetables are tender and meat is cooked throughout.

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste and garnish with chopped parsley.

  5. Serve and enjoy.
