This slow-cooked BBQ beans recipe makes a tummy-filling dish with a twist! Coca-cola is added alongside dry mustard and ketchup for a flavorful bowl.

Ingredients

  • 4slicesbacon,chopped
  • 1onion,finely chopped, small to medium size
  • 1jalapeño,finely chopped
  • 2cansgreat northern beans,drained and rinsed
  • 2cansbaked beans,any variety
  • cupsCoca-Cola®
  • ½cupbbq sauce
  • ½cupketchup
  • ½cupbrown sugar
  • 1tspdry mustard

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, crisp bacon with chopped onion, and jalapeños.

  2. Once the bacon is cooked, add into the slow cooker with beans, Coca-Cola®, BBQ sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, and dry mustard.

  3. Stir together and cook on High until bubbling, then switch to a Low setting for about 2 to 4 hours until thick.

  4. Serve and enjoy.
