How To Make Slow Cooker Apple Cider Pulled Pork

Pulled pork covered with lots of onions, apple cider, cinnamon, and flavorful spices then cooked in a slow cooker for a delicious dish.

Ingredients

  • lbpork shoulder
  • 1white onion,thinly sliced, small
  • 1cupapple cider,homemade or store-bought
  • ¼cupapple cider vinegar
  • ¼cupbrown sugar
  • 2tspcinnamon,ground
  • 2tspkosher salt
  • 1tspblack pepper
  • 1bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Place half of the onions in the slow cooker. Set pork on top of onions then cover the pork with remaining onions.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together all remaining ingredients. Pour on top of pork and onions.

  3. Cook in the slow cooker on low for 6 to 8 hours or until the pork is cooked and pulls apart easily with a fork.

  4. Shred pork using two forks then toss once more in the juices so that it is coated. Serve warm.
