Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ham, cubed
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups of dried white beans, soaked overnight and drained
  • 4 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon of thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté the ham, onion, and garlic until the onion is translucent.

  2. Add the soaked beans, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper to the pot. Bring to a boil.

  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until the beans are tender.

  4. Serve hot and enjoy!
