  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/3 cup skim milk
  • 8 potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 3 carrots, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. basil, minced
  • 1/3 cup peas
  • 4 trout fillets
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Combine cheddar cheese and skim milk in a large bowl. Whisk thoroughly.

  3. Place all vegetables and fish in a greased baking dish.

  4. Season ingredients with salt and pepper.

  5. Pour cheddar mixture over fish and vegetables.

  6. Place in the oven for 45 minutes. Serve.
