Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 head of cabbage, cored and shredded
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

  2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.

  3. Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes.

  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, cooked rice, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

  5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  6. Serve the beef and cabbage mixture hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
