  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add onion, mushrooms, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

  4. Stir in beef broth and cook for an additional minute.

  5. Transfer mixture to a 9×13 inch casserole dish and sprinkle with shredded cheese.

  6. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
