How To Make Pizza Casserole

There’s nothing better than a hot and fresh casserole right from the oven. For cooking recipes that are failsafe and delicious, look no further and follow these casserole recipes that are sure to garner you some new fans along the way.

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 can (14 oz) pizza sauce
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lb pasta, cooked and drained


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic until softened.

  4. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and add the sliced pepperoni, pizza sauce, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

  5. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the cooked pasta evenly on the bottom.

  6. Pour half of the sausage mixture over the pasta and sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, sausage mixture, and cheeses.

  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.

  11. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
