Green beans add some nutrition to this creamy and ultra flavorful potato casserole. This yummy side dish has a generous layer of crispy onions too.

  • 15½ozFrench style green beans,(1 can), drained
  • 15ozpotatoes,(1 can) drained, sliced
  • 10¾ozcondensed cream of celery soup
  • 1⅛cupsmilk
  • 3tbsponions,French fried, divided
  • salt and pepper,to taste
  • garlic powder,to taste
  • 8ozdry bread stuffing mix,(1 package)


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Place the green beans and potatoes into a 2-quart casserole dish. Stir in the cream of celery soup and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and stir in 1 tablespoon of the French fried onions. Sprinkle the remaining onions on top.

  3. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven. While the casserole is baking, prepare the stuffing according to package directions. Spread over the top of the casserole.

  4. Return to the oven for about 10 minutes, or until crunchy. For extra crunch, broil for a few minutes.
