How To Make Unstuffed Peppers
This scrumptious one-pot unstuffed peppers recipe combines fresh tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce with rice and sausage for a dish served in under an hour.

Ingredients
- 1lbItalian sausage
- 1small onion,diced
- 2clovesgarlic
- 14oztomatoes,crushed, canned
- 14oztomatoes,with juices, diced
- ½cupwhite rice,long-grain, uncooked
- 1⅔cupwater,or as needed
- 1tbspWorcestershire sauce
- ½tspItalian seasoning
- salt and pepper,to taste
- 4bell peppers,any color, diced
- ½cupmozzarella cheese,shredded
Instructions

In a large pan, brown sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat until no pink remains. Drain fat.

Add tomatoes, rice, water, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and cook covered 10 minutes.

Stir in diced peppers and cook an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender.

Stir and add cheese on top. Remove from heat, cover with a lid and rest 10 minutes before serving.
