How To Make Thai Fish Cakes

In this recipe for Thai fish cakes, salmon is given a sweet and spicy seasoning then fried until golden brown and crisp. Serve as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

  • 4packetsChicken of the Sea® Sweet & Spicy Flavored Salmon Pouches
  • 5tbspPanko breadcrumbs
  • 1egg
  • ½tspred curry paste
  • 2tbspcilantro,chopped
  • Salt and pepper,to taste
  • 1tbspolive oil
  • *Thai cucumber salad,(see Recipe Notes for recipe)
  • Sweet chili sauce,for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the contents of the salmon packets into a large bowl. Stir in the panko, egg, curry paste, cilantro and egg until thoroughly incorporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste if desired.

  2. Shape the fish mixture into 3 patties. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  3. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through and lightly browned.

  4. Serve immediately, with Thai cucumber salad and sweet chili sauce on the side.
